Time Flies
Not really sure how almost a year has passed since my last post. Busy life? Yeah, we all have them but I am hoping not to use that as an excuse as much. It’s so easy to say that my life got away from me so I didn’t call someone, write or see someone but I am coming to the point that life happens way to fast and it’s time to stop and pay attention.
Today I wrote a card to my great grandmother-in-law. Yes, you read that right. My husband and I are in our forties and he still has three grandparents alive and thriving. She lives far away and her husband passed just a year ago. I was chatty and included hard copy pictures. It took me perhaps fifteen minutes to write it and I made sure to write out the envelope first before I started the card so I would immediately put it together and put a stamp on it. And send it. What it will mean to her is immeasurable and it’s just this sort of thing that I think I need to make more effort to do much more often.
